Building a computer is fairly simple. Buying one is a little bit more pricy then to just do it yourself. This is because when you buy a computer, you are not only paying the price that it cost to make, but also the labor put into it, as well as paying for the name. Personally, I would prefer to build my own system any day. And let me explain why.
When you buy a computer, you could make a computer 2 times better. For the price you paid for that dual core 2.0ghz system, you could of bought a motherboard, hard drive, and maybe even some ram..thus you could put the money into better things. Not only that, but when you build you own system, you know what you are going to do with it (what kind of work you are going to do) so then you will also know what you need more of. If you are going to things such as graphic and video editing, you know that the amount of ram is a little bit more important then the processor that is on the machine.
If your going to be doing things like making programs (c++) you know that the processor is a little bit more important then the amount of ram. You get to pick the items you need, instead of buying a pre-made computer and then still needing to upgrade it.
On the other hand, if you dont have the patience to figure out how to put a computer together, or you dont know exactly to much about computers (you dont know what resources and stuff that you use the most of), then you should probably buy a computer as you are just the average computer user..which is what these computers are made for.
On top of that, you will need to know things like what operating system and such you will need (Again, if you dont know the difference between operating systems, and what one you need..then you are better off just buying a computer). And you will also need to know how to install it.
Basically what I’m saying is, if you know about computers, what you need and how to compose a computer, then you should build a computer..it is much cheaper, and you could customize it. But then, if you don’t know much about computers and don’t know what type of things you need more of, then you should just buy one..more expensive but at least you wont need to mess with anything.
Here is a rundown of the cons of buying/building a computer.
Building a computer
*Requires time, patience
*Need to know what you want
*Need to aquire parts individually
* You need to purchase an OS
Buying a computer
*More expensive
*Not really customized to Taylor your needs
*May not last as long
And that is really all there is to it. You should now be able to build your decision based on the things that i stated above. Depending on your personality, you may or may not want to build/buy your computer.
